Safety Rules
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Mission 20 challenges are optional. No challenge is worth risking injury, legal trouble, financial harm, or someone else's safety or privacy.
Follow laws and venue rules
Do not trespass, steal, damage property, interfere with businesses, evade age restrictions, or violate local laws, retailer policies, school rules, workplace rules, or posted safety requirements.
Do not create dangerous situations
Do not participate while driving, enter unsafe areas, misuse tools or equipment, ingest unsafe substances, perform dangerous stunts, handle hazardous materials, or create fire, electrical, traffic, or crowd hazards.
Respect food and allergy safety
For food-related missions, follow normal food-safety practices and account for allergies, intolerances, age restrictions, and medical considerations. Do not pressure another person to consume anything.
Protect people in photos
Get permission before making another person a featured subject of a submission when appropriate. Do not photograph people in private or sensitive settings, and do not expose identifying information unnecessarily.
Spend responsibly
The budget is a maximum for the challenge, not a spending requirement. Do not borrow, overspend, or make purchases that create financial hardship simply to complete a mission.
Use judgment
If a challenge conflicts with your circumstances, location, abilities, health, safety, or applicable rules, skip it. Use a safer interpretation or choose another mission.
Emergency situations
Mission 20 is not an emergency service. If there is an immediate threat to health or safety, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
